When you enter the birth house of Marco Polo you immediately face the stairs. There is nothing much to see in the actual house but the view from the top of it is great. I personally love these old stone houses.
First off, the official placard upon entry points out that no is sure where Marco Polo was born, though most historians settle on either Korkula (this island) or Vienna.
Secondly this isn't even a house...it's a tower with a cute view.

There is a small entry fee to go in, but the whole place takes no more than 10 minutes to go round and is a poor state of repair and smells very damp. I was not very impressed.
