Walking around 10-15min. from old town central area, I arrived to Lijiang Lion Mountain. It's located west side of Lijiang old town. I enjoyed great panoramic view of Lijiang old town. I entered to visit Wangu Pavilion. But it depends of your schedule. If you don't have time, it's no need to enter. Even you don't enter, you can enjoy... More

Refused to pay an additional 50 rmb (on top of the 80 rmb protection fee) just to go on a hill and see a temple that is basically new. We used the money to have a drink in one of the nearby restaurants instead to enjoy the view.

In our case much less touristy and nicely away from the buzz of Old Town Lijiang. Great views of the Old and New Town of Lijiang and the mountains in the background. On the top you will find Wangu tower, which is also pretty. Practicalities: Entrance fee is 50 Yuen per person. Best way to go to it is from... More

Very nice place to have a stroll. Everywhere you look around, you will see the beautiful mountains behind Lijiang. It's a park around Wangu Pavilion, but you can't just walk here without paying the entrance fee. So only decide to come here if you're going to the tower. But if you don't want to see the tower, then I suggest... More

50rmb to have a look at a view was a bit steep for me so I walked around the hill and eventually came to the service road and just walked in unchallenged. There is a great tower on top from which you get panoramic views of Lijiang. I bought a stick of incense to make myself feel less guilty about... More

Lijiang has many attractions around there, not just the Ancient town but a multitude of parks, little fenicular train rides, waterfalls and of course the spectacular show on Snow Mountain but this walk is an easybone and I'd recommend taking this early in the morning simply because it's not so busy at this time. You walk through the ancient town... More

The park itself is just as any park – green, nice and quiet. But once you reached the pagoda, you would have a great view on Lijiang ancient city and Haba Snow Mountain on horizon.

After seeing the Mu Fu (Mu Residence) which is a must, and cost you about 60 yuan entry, if you wish to continue to the top of the hill, Lion Rock and a temple, they charge you another 50 Yuan. The usual tourist trap,b ut the view is nice, and there are fewer tourists venturing there between the old pines... More

The path starts from the front of Lijiang old town. Steps all the way up. An easy climb but still a bit breathless seeing as Lijiang is 2400 m above sea level! The view from the top was really worth it. There were a lot of rest houses and cafes offering refreshments and views. We walked all the way to... More
