The unique mix between ancient city and tibetan, give you a new experience. From my hotel at Shanba village, I took a bus for CNY 3 per person. The bus was passing through the beautiful lavender fields. The fields are open for public. We can take photos as many as we want by paying CNY 20.

Its like visiting a europian village but china style... Love every part of it...cleanliness, the city planning, the garden and the mountains. My family loves it very much...would love to stay few days more just to get the zen of the city. Fully recommended....with the exception of the toilets...do need to upgrade for the sanitation

A small transitional town which serves as a gateway to Juizhaigou National Park. One main street with 'traditional' Tibetan shops, hotels and restaurants. Take the opportunity to explore different kinds of restaurants. I ate in a Muslim restaurant and had yak stew with various vegetables. There are hotels of various sorts. A good place to take a break.

We visited this place on the day we toured Mounigou. While very authentic in that the ancient city is very much in use today, the overall environment was not too inviting as it was pretty dusty. In addition, as all the shops were of the functional types with no craft shops in sight, we quickly tired of walking around. I... More

It seems (please verify) Chuanzhusi Town, Songpan County, Sichuan Province was very badly damaged in the 2008 earthquake. The town looks brand new. There wasnt much activity the day our bus stopped for lunch. We were enroute to Zhaga Waterfall. Most of the rebuilding has been completed. Unsure what activities are available. Two very distinctive new bridges.
