Seeing The Mahao Cave Tombs was really interesting there is also a small museum here. It's free to enter and a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of The Giant Buddha. We walked here from The Buddha then went on to the stunning Haoshang Bridge then out the South Gate.

After visiting Leshan Buddha, the ancient tombs are at the left pathway. No additional charges needed to be paid. There is also a small museum here. Not very interesting but worth a visit since you are here. If you walk to the end of the pathway, you will see the picturesque Leshan Bridge.

The Mahaoya Tombs are quite interesting and, as they are included in the ticket price for the Buddha, it is worth visiting them. They won't blow you away, but as they are between the Grand Buddha and Wuyou Temple, you would be amiss not to drop in and see them. They are quite nicely presented and lit, but the museum... More
