Everything is televised and the clientele is very colorful as well as the language. It is not a place for ladies to go by themselves. Individuals do not clean up behind themselves, so there are papers and beer bottles all around. Just something different to do and people watch.

The service was great and the experience of watching the dogs was fun but the facility is horribly dated, dirty and overall not appealing.

We go to the Birmingham Race Track for the simulcast racing (on TV's), usually during the big races like the Preakness, Kentucky Derby, etc. Fun day! Usually spend about 6 hour betting our 'wad' on various combinations of bets on the various races. Lots of fun. Full bar. Kitchen. Waitress service...and when you really get excited 'Live' dog races on... More

This could be a decent track remember it is a racetrack---will give it points for being fairly clean----there is the only plus Rotten uncaring staff---screaming people that don't really gamble block machines with tickets off the ground--tellers don't listen and are rude---go outside and forget talking to the people next to you over the drunk and loud

I did not go to see the races, but to pick up greyhounds for our rescue group. The track is not as nice as some of the others that I have seen, but the people in the kennels were really nice.

We've been to the race course the past couple of years to bet on the Preakness and Belmont races. We also like betting on the dog races. But the racetrack looks worse every year. The chairs are filthy and have cigarette burns on them. I have been bringing a towel to put on the chairs. Trying to gets drinks or... More

Took a day-trip to this track to watch the Belmont Stakes. This was my first visit in a couple of years, and it has really hit the skids. From the outside, it looks like an unused, derelict factory. Inside, it's not much better. Here's a small sample of the problems our group encountered: First, there was no air conditioning (that's... More

It was fun to go and gamble on some dogs, but the facility is in some dire need of improvements. The building looks barely better than pictures of Chernobyl (nuclear meltdown) if you know what I mean. If you really enjoy betting races the building shouldn't take anything away from your experience, but to someone who doesn't go to places... More
