It is such a beautiful thing to go to the top and overlook Birmingham. You can clearly see a long way. I highly recommend this. You can't leave town without seeing it. There is a lot to see how Birmingham got its name. I give this a ten also. There is a lot to do. Sincerely Michele Richards

They have a very nice museum in the building next to vulcan with a very small gift shop. Going up in Vulcan can be scary if you are afraid of heights. They have a grate you walk across that can be frightening. Once you pass that hurdle the view is spectacular.

This is a great way to see all of Jefferson County. When you look down on the city of birmingham you will be surprised. then look to the west, east and south for more surprises.

Great place to go see the view and some history. A must for any out of town visitor. Hard to get the picture of Vulcans buns and my friends in same frame. But worth trying!

This is a really economical activity to do. My 2 kids and I got to go through the museum and got up to observation deck of Vulcan for $15. Great value. Museum is wonderful in depicting the steel industry in Birmingham, Vulcan, Birmingham Civil Rights, and the restoration of Vulcan. A must see and do.

The Park consists of beautiful grounds, the Vulcan Tower and statute, a museum, and a gift shop. It is reasonably priced and worth a visit. The statute was built for a World's Fair and was brought back to Birmingham and erected on a high tower. The Tower has an elevator and stairs to a small platform which allows a panoramic... More

The statue park is the icon of the city of Birmingham. When we were there we had the park to ourselves. You can walk up and get to the top of the statue and see a beautiful view of the city.

We absolutely love visiting the outdoor park as a family. The grounds are alive with the history of the City. Views are amazing. I'm not fond of heights, but I will go to Vulcan's observation deck with the kids. They love it. We have not taken the museum tour.

Only had a quick stop here and didn't do the museum or go up to the observation deck. Even so, the area outside was nice and offered some lovely views of the city.
