Fun and learning never end at McWane Science Center, a nonprofit, hands-on museum and IMAX(R) Dome Theater. Four floors of interactive exhibits celebrate science and wonder - from an amazing collection of dinosaurs to innovative environmental showcases, imaginative early childhood playgrounds, and an awe-inspiring aquarium. The energy and excitement of discovery spring to life through an extensive lineup of science demonstrations performed daily by talented educators. The adventure intensifies in the IMAX(R) Dome Theater, where wide-eyed visitors experience the sights and sounds of breathtaking films on a 5-story-tall screen surrounded by 3 tons of high-intensity speakers.

The McWane Science Center has a section inside called the Itty Bitty Magic City that is super fun for the little ones with a birthday room on the side. Itty Bitty Magic City has different sections to keep them engaged and learning while having a good time all in a little kid sized area. The birthday package was nice too.... More

There are a million things to learn at,the McWane centerParents and children will enjoy hundreds of quality exhibits explaining weather, geology, geography, math and many more. I enjoy going by myself. The IMAX THEATRE has the star wars movies, tours of the national parks and trips to Africa. You will feel like you left the planet or the continent. Don't... More

We carried our four year old grandson to the McWane Center in December,2016. He loves trains and he had a fantastic time watching the trains move along the tracks. Not only was he thrilled with the trains but he enjoyed the "Itty Bitty Magic City". He was amazed to watch the fish being fed but he didn't like the smell... More

Doesn't matter if you're 4, 14 or 44; McWane never gets old. Our family loves it and I love it! I never get tired of the exhibits and their staff is great!!

Went to McWane in both December and January with our grands, great experiences, loved it! The employees are very helpful, and they rotate "new" things in to keep the kids from being bored!

I took a 3 year old little boy to the McWane Center. He was amazed with everything. He especially loved the volcano and the room with all the bubbles. I loved going there just as much as he did. There is 3 floors with a lot to do and see. Well worth your time.

This science center is definitely for kids and families. This is not the place to expect yourself to learn something new about science, it's more for basic scientific principles and getting to understand them on a child's level. That being said, this place is awesome for kids! My two year old runs around and has an opportunity to be curious,... More

One day isn't enough time to cover all four floors. The activities are engaging to both kids and adults. Even my kid that is not science oriented had a blast. The museum was clean and well maintained. One thing I noticed was how few things weren't working. Most children's museums have a lot of exhibits that don't function properly, or... More
