We were visiting Birmingham for just an afternoon and found this museum close to the airport. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the exhibits and their accompanying explanations. If you have any interest in aviation history, this is worth the trip!

A great mix of items for the history and aviation enthusiast. A number of vintage and more recent items. Displays are informative and well put together.

Not even that interesting of a place. But what really got me was how the people had a security guard follow us throughout the place. I would be stretching the definition to call it a museum. My students saw how obvious our treatment was compared...More

I visited the museum with a friend from England. We were very early and the only ones there so we had plenty of time to see everything. We were, however, dissappointed with how little there actually was there. We also noticed that when others started...More

Great museum & full of history, hands on & even little kids would like it. Good value for the small admission fee. They provide car/stroller for tots & a playroom to keep them happy.

Check BirminghamGroupon. We had a party of 8 and was able to get 8 tickets @ $28.00. It averaged out to $3.50 a ticket. Groupon offered a discount on top of that. So for 8 admission around $25.00 which was a good deal.

That exhibit is the Korean War Jets exhibit. The defecting pilot was Lt. No Kum Sok, know as Ken Rowe when he became an American citizen. Ken is 85 years old now. I talk with him several times a year.
