Beautiful scenery! A definite for any visitor! Many, many steps! Most of them steep with no handrails! Be prepared! Take enough water!

Huangshan is amazing. However, many people (myself included for not doing enough homework I guess) don't realize that to truly enjoy Huangshan, you better be prepared to walk a lot, and mostly uphills. The mountain is enormous! Even though you take the cable car to the peak, there are still hundreds and hundreds of steps to deal with to all... More

Huangshan probably offers one of the most amazing sceneries in China in a very well organized and easy accessible park. The sunset, sunrise, sea of clouds, umbrella trees, amazing rock formations... It's all there and it's breathtaking. The downside of Huangshan however is that it's made for one kind of tourism specifically: Chinese mass tourism. That means the whole experience... More

Probably one of the most beautiful places on earth. We were lucky to have a clear day to enjoy the trek around the mountain. The view points were excellent. And nice to see monkeys in the wild. The path around the mountain is wide and very safe, but can also be busy at some of the vantage points. The gondola... More

Beautiful mountains. We arrived at 8 am on the overnight train from Shanghai, hiked up the eastern steps (which are a bit grueling) and stayed our first night at the BeiHai hotel. We hiked around the mountain the second day and cable carred it down to the hot springs. If I had to do it again I would spend 3... More

Views are amazing as are the crowds. Took the cable car up, if you travelling independently you need to pay for the bus to the entrance and entry to the park separately. If you are not staying the night at hotel (book first) the last car down is at 5:00. It is extremely crowded loads of steps and concrete walkways... More

Some of the best views in all of china!! Absolutely spectacular and very very accessible due to the cable car! Highly recommend staying overnight on top of the mountain, lots of hotels to choose from. The mountain has ALOT of hiking trails so staying the night is definitely worth it!

My fiancee and I had an incredible time visiting Huangshan. We saw some of the most beautiful sights in the world. Countless views were like a painting, it was truly breathtaking. We got really lucky with the weather; a mixture of fog and sun on the various days gave us the full Huangshan experience. Our tour guide, Tony, really enhanced... More

Must be fit to really enjoy the experience as there are many, many steps both up a down to just get to the Beihai hotel. If you have luggage you will be struggling. Expect inclement weather and dress accordingly.Take your time and enjoy the vistas, O wait,we were in a cloud the entire time so only saw misty glimpses of pine... More
