Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I am Swiss and we have many lovely mountain Valleys there. So I Need a beautyful landscape to be impressed. I was mainly very happy to walk up that valley because I entered the park at 7 and walked until the end and started to read in a book there. Except some rangers I was totally alone, a very rare Situation in China. I enjoyed the nature, observing the birds taking their bath and of course the nice waterbasins. Several movies have been filmed here (Crouching tiger, hidden Dragon f.e.). On the way back around 9 there where already many (mainly chinese) Tourist Groups, that made lots of noise and much of the mystic athmosphere was gone. The prize to enter the park with around 90 yuan is rather pricy.

I disagree with some of the other reviewers who advise skipping this place. It is beautiful and provided a wonderful walk in the woods alongside a creek and pools of deep emerald water. There were few people when we went and I agree it may be less pleasant if there are noisy crowds--but that is true of every site.

Lovely visit with a nice walk to see the various pools. Generally very clean also.
You will need about 3hours to enjoy the place at a leisurely pace. Fairly gentle gradient and very well mark pathways that is concrete along the banks.
Great photo sharing opportunities.
Waterfalls will be more impressive in March -April.

This place is about half an hour drive from Tangkou city. There are very few tourists here, hence one can enjoy the scenery peacefully. A leisurely walk takes about 1-5 to 2 hours to cover this place. Nice green pool & bamboo forest.
If you've covered Huangshan mountain with half a day to spare, you can consider this scenic spot, together with Nine Dragon Waterfall (about 1.5 to 2 hours too).

We visited Emerald Valley when the area had been experiencing a drought for several months. As such, water levels were poor and that significantly detracted from the beauty of the location.

Emerald Valley has some of the best nature viewpoints in the area. Each pool has its own natural beauty and characteristics. It has the potential for amazing photos because of the clear turquoise water and rock formations. You don't need to be especially fit to complete this trail. Be careful, there are a lot of insects and spiders on the hand rails - look before you touch.

It is not as famous as Huangshan but it is every bit as beautiful with less crowds which makes it more serene. The lush valley is simply a paradise. Pease take your bug repellant as I was getting bit quite frequently and wished I had brought some. his is an unforgettable place and a must see.

Emerald Valley (Fei Cui Gu in mandarin) also known as the Lovers Valley is a fine place to take wedding shots, its paths are engraved with lots of "Ai" (love characters) in written in different calligraphy style.
The whole place can be covered within 90 mins. The park is divided into two sections; the entrance will lead you up the waterfall area with the valley waters next to your path and the returning route will and leads you into the bamboo forest and back to the entrance. The colour of the valley water changes at different time of the day due to the reflection of sunlight.
Tibetan macaque can also be seen on the mountainous area, they are quite large in size. Do refrain from eating when they are spotted.

After an exhilarating and sometimes scary visit to Mt Huangshan, the beautiful emerald valley was a peaceful and tranquil place to visit. the Valley is quite beautiful and easy to stroll through. Recommend a visit.
