A very full museum of all sorts of things. It almost can't decide what it is meant to be with so many exhibits that it is overwhelming. Still worth a visit and the ticket lasts for 24 hours if you want to go in more than one session.

This is an excellent museum, with great content and organization. Expecting a small town kind presentation, we were amazed at the quality and quantity of the exhibits. Not to be missed is the exhibit chronicling the mine disaster of 2011 and the rescue of the 33 trapped miners.

We went to the museum not expecting too much and were blown away by not only the amount of relics and information it had, but also by the wonderful way everything was organized and presented. The audio tour in English held our interest from beginning to end, which wound up being 2 1/2 hours. The time span reached way back... More

I had to smile at the review before mine. I'd say it was best to visit before the winery! Anyway, you could while away a whole morning here. There is something for everybody. If you are staying at Hotel Santa Cruz you get free entry (the hotel is next door).

This is one of the best small museum collections that I have ever visited, explaining the history of Chile from pre-historic times, with excellent repoductions of early historic animals, and real artefacts. The highlight must be the section on the 2011 minimg disaster, in which 33 miners were trapped for over two months and survived

So well laid out and a real must see treat ! It's seems underplayed for such a little jewel The journey through time makes it easy to understand and we were overwhelmed by the amount of beautiful exhibits They need to shout more about this place as it's certainly as good as the museum of Anthropology in Mexico City ,... A fascinating museum, with basic Audio commentary for those less fluent in Spanish (!!). A mass of exhibits that gave you so much information on Chile's history and development. The exhibition on the trapped 33 miners in 2010 was a real highlight. Really excellent, although eventually we gave up on the last few rooms, as our brains couldn't take any... More

This is a MUST do here in Santa Cruz, wow what an amazing museum to visit ! My husband and I love visiting museums, we've visited great museums in Italy, France, Washington DC, Sydney, even in Santiago de Chile, but I must say this one is special, it's so well organized and very educational. I couldn't believe is so well... More
