The exhibits of fossils are good but the pre-Columbian rooms are even better, with ceramics, textiles and jewellery. We also felt the exhibit on Los... More

Eclectic collection a little of everything from South America. From prehistoric to the modern day Beautifully curated. Every artifact is perfect. No shards of pottery here but intact vessels. Hard to believe this is a private collection. If you only have time for one history museum come here. English audio only gives basic information. Hopefully in future they will provide... More

the museum has many great works of art from Chile and also many of the South American countries. Really recommend visiting the rescue of the miners permanent display inside the museum and also the trains display.

The collection they own in that museum is absolutely fascinating, it is so complete and diverse that you sometimes feel like you are in another museum. 100% recommended and I dare to say that is one of the best museums in Chile.

Located in Santa Cruz, Colchagua Valley, this museum is a very nice break from wine tasting. Allow a good three hours to do it justice. It is an eclectic collection of artefacts and reproductions following the history of Chile and South America Peru and South from the Cambrian era to current era. There is a very interesting collection of ceramics... More

A comprehensive history of the region and beyond. More English signage and interactive displays would up my rating.

The museum is a tour de force in South American history. It is by far one of the best collections of South American artifacts all in one place I have come a cross. I could've spent several days in the museum. The price , which was around $7, is absolutely ridiculous. The price should be at least $50 plus in... More
