It's a beautiful place, but it can get -10 C, so bring it cover and because of the altitude about 4500 meters high, bring it water.

The landscape here is beautiful to watch. The rock-formations are exotic and the salt makes it look as if there's snow (there isn't any, of course). You can crawl through caves and climb some of the hills. It's good for pictures. If you have been...More

The geysers aren't individually all that amazing but the sheer size and variety of the field is mind-boggling. The lack of sulphur in the water means that it doesn't smell much at all. Best of all was the abundant altiplano wildlife on the trip back....More

Set your alarm early, pack winter clothing. Be prepared to be amazed by number of geysers and the stunning landscape. True there might be bigger geysers in the world, but the location of this is unmatched.

Located at two hours from San Pedro Atacama. I recommend to take a tour that leaves early in the morning. There are several active geysers of different sizes. There is a thermal pool from the geyser for the courageous ones! It´s impressive to visit this...More

This is a fantastic place. It is really worthy to wake up a 5 AM to see the place. The geyser and fumarole are really an incredible view especially at the time of sunrise.

Me and my boyfriend arrived in the evening in el Tatio and spent the night over there by sleeping in our Camper. The place is very special especially when nearly no one is there. We witnessed both - the sunset and the sunrise. Although we...More
