Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

During the way to Cajón del Maipo, by the Camino al Volcan main street, there's a special place that you can't miss:
Camping "Estero el Manzano", which is a trekking or a walking route following up the course of the tideland, how is a camping you can actually camp if you get to the perfect spot during the walk.
You can go up as far you can. There's no charge to enter.
For sunny days, remember the use of sunblock, sunglasses, a hat, a light clothes, the climate in the valley zones are sometimes extreme.
You can take a bus in the "Metro Bellavista de la Florida" intermodal station, a bus to el cajón del Maipo. And also in the bus terminal stop of Alameda, located in the Metro Universidad de Santiago.
Bring back the garbage that you get there, take care of nature.

Todo o Camino al Volcan é incrivel.. a estrada é ótima e no final dela, a vista é impressionante! vale a pena alugar um carro e ir até o final da estrada de terra.

The Camino al Volcan is incredible .. the road is great and at the end of it, the view is amazing - you will be inside the volcano! it's worth renting a car and go to the end of the road.

We went after lunch with two friends, we lunch in Cajon del Maipo, and after we went to Camino el Volcan, good time to be close of mountains and cascade.

This place is incredible to camping and relaxing.
You can get on this amazing place taking a public bus in Intermodal Bellavista la Florida ( Bellavista La Florida metro station- line 5 ) , the buses number 72 a, 72 b and 72 c exactly.
Then you have to get off the bus in stop number 18 of Camino al Volcan, also you can say that you are going to Estero del Manzano and the drivers will know where is.
You start a walking ( if you don't have car) through "fundo el manzano" , this is a wide path so a car perfectly is able to go through.
There is a stop where you have to pay just one time, it means that you pay the entrance which is $4000 CLP / $6 USD and you are able to stay one, two , three , how many days you want. This entrance also include a camping zone with water, pool, bathroom.
The Bosque de los brujos is a little bit far away from the camping, is a trekking of around 1:30 hours going up through the mountain. Here you will find a thick forest cover by shadow everywhere because the trees , there are some spots to camping but they are really handmade , with the fire place clear, and some trunks as seat. Also some decoration made by the visitors with some symblos and crafts.
If something is not much beautiful is the trash where so many times makes a beautiful spot or view a ugly one and also make us selves reflect about why people leave them residues instead of take it whit them and seek a trash can. What is the difficult part of put the garbage in a garbage dump? So please new visitors be aware about the environment and take care of our landscapes.
In the forest there is no bathroom so do your stuffs in a kind of private place but make it sure of don't leave any evidence .
There is a river beside the forest with huge rocks perfect to tanning.
If you have camera try to take it with you because this place will you surprise with its landscapes and scenes.
PD: In summer there are many wasps so if you are allergic be cautious.

The last 20 km have the more beautiful landscapes through a beautiful, peaceful canyon. The last part of the road is gravel with some menor river crossings. Possible with a normal car.
