It is nice to see the contrast between dry hills and vineyards. There is so much to see and do. Pisqueras, solar kitchens, small villages, horse riding around hills, observatories...We could easily spend 1 week there, but were short of time.

Stayed for 2 nights a Vicuña, visited Pisco Elqui and did the Pisco Route tour and the Mamalluca Observatory tour, both were nice experiences. The valley itself is a very beautiful place.

A must visit. Go all the way to Horno and beyond. Stop at one of the towns or stay at Pisco Elqui for a week and chill. About 90 minutes drive from La Serena.
