The lesson started with a visit to the local market. Ro, our guide showed us life without a fridge, shopping early for the freshest food. Was great to see real tumeric and paprika, I've only seen the powder before. Back to the kitchen and Toot and Nary led us through 4 dishes. It was well organized and explained in good... More

We were busy all morning enjoying cooking. We went out to the market and had a look round and saw lots of things. Then we learned how to cook Cambodian food. Then at lunch we ate it I thought it was yum! He also gave us a cookery book which said how to cook what we just cooked and more.

My friend and I did an afternoon cooking class with Toot last week at Nary's Kitchen. The class began with a trip to the local market, where we picked up some of the ingredients we were to use in our dishes. As it was a public holiday, some of the usual market stall stops were closed, so the market visit... More

For only 10$ we had a great afternoon cooking class with Toot. He was very nice and funny. First we learned some interesting things about the ingredients at the local market. Then we cooked 4 different meals in the very clean kitchen - good to know even if you are only eating in the restaurant. Food was all fresh, very... More

Toot is a very good teacher, the ubiquitous language barrier is evident some times, but hey your in another country. the overall cooking experience was very informative and lots of fun, water was provided with lots of laughter. We finished cooking on time to be able to sit out the front and enjoy the fruits of our labour with a... More

Our cooking class started with a trip to the market where many of the ingredients were explained to us in both French & English. Our guide told us about what Khmer use many of the ingredients for and what they don't use that we often do in the west. He also took us through the meat market explaining what times... More

Great evening! Superb food- all ingredients were fresh and the kitchen was spacious and clean! Toot and his wife and staff are a great team! We got a handout with the recipes, which really makes a nice souvenir and great way to get some vacation feeling, once your`re back home!
