The show is an emblematic attraction for Veliko Tarnovo. Dramatic music, multicolor lights, lasers and chiming bells are synchronized in an unique way to depict the tumultuous history of Bulgaria. Created in 1985 by a Czech-Bulgarian team, the show operates all year round, and can be watched for free on public holidays or may be booked for a fee, by request or according to pre-listed dates.

That was just AWESOME. I actually have never seen a light show before. Not only it was free, but the size of it. Whoa! I do hope to come back next year.

Definitely worth seeing. The choreography between the light and sound is stunning and extremely clever. This tops light shows in Hong Kong! A fantastic and truly memorable way to finish our trip to Bulgaria 😀

This show depicts some of Veliko Tarnovo's history, with sounds and lights. With the fortress as the background as well as for part of the story, it is very impressive. We chose indoor seating as it was a chilly night, but the outdoor terrace was...More
