It is very small church with simple architecture that was built in 1609 where you can see original mural paintings from the same year. It is only surviving church conscructed during the Ottoman period.

St Spas Church or the Holy Saviour Church is a very small old church in the town of Old Nessebar. Lovely inside, there is a fee to go in. You can take pictures but cannot use flash. Well worth a visit.

With a tiny and unassuming façade, you may mistake this little church for a house. Apparently there are really nice frescoes inside, but when I visited the interior was closed and inaccessible.

A small building from the outside, not particularly impressive and not at all suggesting what would you find inside. And then - some of the best-preserved and interesting frescos (XVII century) I've seen.
