wonderful fruits, cheeses, sausages, spices, delights to eat ... all this in a building with a beautiful architecture. It is one of the cool places to meet in São Paulo.

Great market and even better when you stop to have a sandwich, most mortadela I've ever had in a sandwich.

I've been a couple of times and my suggestion is to go early and grab a table. This is best done (in our case) with the husbands arriving at 1100 or so and staking out your claim while the wives shop. Enjoy a super bem...More

The specialty sandwich, shown in the photo, only served at the SãoPaulo Central Market, together with the incredible pastrami sandwiches of New York, is one of the best in the world! It is a real meal! If you order it with cheese in the middle...More

Amazing market. All sorts of foods served. My preferred option is the pasteis de bacalhau (cod empanadas) and de muqueca (sea food empanadas) but there are also other options. As a market it has all sorts of spices, fruit, veg, etc. A must.

This is a very interesting market in São Paulo. They sell spices/produce/meat and serve mortadella sandwiches for the most part. The sandwich is worth the visit.

To truly know São Paulo, you have to start at the old
centre, full of history and landmarks with stories to
tell. Get a taste of local food at the Municipal
Market, and if you are brave enough, head to the
crowded shopping street “25 de março” for cheap deals
on a wide assortment of items. Beautiful buildings in
this area include the Post Office Building, Luz
Station, Pagé Gallery, Pateo do Colegio and the iconic
