Located close to the port and in front of Pele´s museum, this old train station was intensively used during the coffee implementation in Brazil. The old building is well preserved and worths a visit.

The building is nicely preserved though we could not get inside on the day we were there. There were no outside displays but is easy to get to, just across the Pele Museum.

Way back when, trains played as really important role in the f BraziliAn economy. No longer! But this great old station echoes those times.
