Built in 1640, it is not the oldest chruch in town but it is still a beauty, displaying in its structure the basics of what was colonial architecture and on the subsequent decorations through the centuries a colourful and rich effect. Not in the best part of town so better to visit in the late morning or early afternoon

To everyone, specially catholics, this church is specially beautiful. Very old church and old downtown Santos, where you can imagine yourself in ancient days of the beggining of the city.

One of the most beautiful churches I have seen. This church will not disappoint any visitor. A little bit of Portugal left in Brazil. No wonder Valongo is a UNESCO site.

The church is small but an antique jewel worth visiting. It is located the old area called Valongo, across the Pele Museum, close by the Coffee Museum, and near the Valongo teaching restaurant, a very affordable place with good food.

Beautiful example of 17th century Baroque. Amazing sculptures and stained glass. On both sides of the main altar Portuguese tile murals.Take the time to step in, as its worth it! The church lies next to the old train station and the new Pele museum.

One of the oldest catholic churches in Santos, it is a genuine example of brazilian barroc architecture. Built on 1640, the place also holds a library and chapel. Its history goes back to the very begining of Portuguese colonization of Brazil
