Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The beach itself is good with small waves and lots of Brazillians sitting under umbrellas however there is a bit of rubbish on the beach. Howwever, a must see is the island near this beach that you walk out to in knee deep water. It is absolutely beautiful. You can look back onto the beaches of Santos with the buildings behind it and climb around the rocks. We even went jumping off the rocks with local Brazillians and everyday walked over to this island to see turtles that swam around the rocks in the same spot everyday. We spent hours just watching the turtles from the rocks and got in and swam with them. We brought goggles to watch them under the water however the water isnt clear enough to see them. the best option is to admire them from the rocks or jump and swim along side them to see them when they come up for a breath. Awesome place!

I have never seen so much sealife on a beach at low tide. The beach is stretches for miles and is wide, with great beach sand. Lots of locals and sightseers where out sunbathing. It appears to be well-maintained. The water appears to be somewhat polluted.

need to be careful, and don't take any personal items to the beach with you. Robbery is rampant there

This is a fabulous beach that is super long and super wide. Tons of space for thousands of people to share with vendors set up along the way. U can walk for miles on hard sand so easy to walk on

The beach is beautifull. Very nice for an evening watch. It is also nice if you like running, biking or any other sporting activities.

I liked the beach Gonzaga: the pleasant temperature of the water, calm sea with few waves, the presence of many life saving and police that make the safe and organized place. a Gonzaga Beach advantage is that the stalls offer beach chairs for free, but the price of food and drink is expensive. What I did not like was the dirt left on the beach for swimmers. The city does a lot of cleaning times a day, yet the beach is very dirty.

The sand was relatively clean, but the water was very dirty (in the first day the dirt resembled oil from the port and in the second day it resembled sewage). I will not come back.
