Overcrowded and overvaluated, after 2 pm the sun start to disappear behind the buildings. A lot of annoying vendors on the beach and people hearing loud local music under every beach umbrella. If you want a relaxing experience go to another place.

Pitangueiras is the beach closest to the most crowded neighborhood, not very long and next to several restaurants and a small mall. Good choice in the city.

Beautiful beach, flat white sands, crashing waves & no rocks to stub your toes but the undertow in the water is fierce. So stay within the flags & keep an eye on kids as the waves are not big but they are powerful. Gets busy...More

I really like Pitangueiras. It might not be one of the most beautiful beaches in São Paulo, but it's great. Lots of families and really secure with a lot of police officers. There are a lot of places to eat, specially on the beach. Depending...More

Busy in the high season but perfectly ok at any other time. Difficult to park - so keep the car on back streets but easy to walk from apartments and centre of town.

Great beach to spend your time with family and kids. A good place where you can buy drinks and some food is Casa de Pedra. They provide you umbrella and beach chairs.

Beautiful beach, good for walks, lots of restaurants around. There's also a little shopping Centre nearby and you can even find Burger King if you don't fancy seafood!

It's a nice beach of a good size to walk along. Can be a bit rough for swimming at some points of the year. There are a variety of stalls to sit at and spend the day, however, i do recommend Farol629 because there, as...More

This beach can be described as one of the widest beaches of the world that is surrounded by high-rise building overlooking the ocean with a great range of international cuisine and many reatail shops.

Back to the 90s it was a great place to stay and spend holidays. Now area still nice, nice building has been erected, but not enough safe. Too many beggars on the street, as well pick pockets, and no security any where around for your...More
