Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The name is misleading but it is worth the visit because of the view all around. Nice for the walk itself.

If you have the opportunity, watch the sun rise from the hill. If you have some luck, you will experience a beautiful show of colours mixed with the fantastic landscape.

I was amazed with this open air archeology museum at Santinho beach. It has a good structure built to allow visitors to get close to the rupestriam writtings dated from 7000 years ago, along with modern sculptures and a great sea view.

For me the name of this attraction was misleading... there is one rock with some "ancient" carvings on it. But the walk up the hill and the views and the rocks and places to sit and watch the ocean are really great. If you understand Portuguese there are a series of plaques that tell you that they don't know who made the carvings or what they mean, but they are a few thousand years old. So if you are at Santinho beach, do walk up the hill, it's worth it, but I wouldn't make a special trip thinking that this is a museum as such unless you are an enthusiast of ancient rock inscriptions.
