Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The place could have more infrastructure. However, the view from the upper level is nice! Lack of translation at least of the main history (a resume) and irregular stairs. I can't remember if there is another access to the upper level ... Please, ask before going there.

The Fort of the Three Wise Men has in star shape architecture and was built on the reefs. A little history of Brazil and the world can be found there. The guides are volunteers and the amount paid is at the discretion of the visitor.

You need to read first what happened there. If you read and understand, the visit becomes better.
From there you also have some good views. It's an excelent place to take wonderful pictures. Take some time to see the park around there and the small animals.

Well, I went there to see the fortress and to be honest it was not what I expected. The forte is very old and has old cannons on the top and the view was great. I am not into old things and history. Great view and good pictures and you can see the outline of Natal.

Despite 20,000 visitors being in town for the World Cup, the fort was closed. I realize that Brasil played later this day, but it is only your most famous attraction. The fort is on a beautiful beach and in a spectacular location, though it appears small and run down from the outside. The beach/sand bar out to it was fun for the kids.

Very interesting and picturesque fortress from 1599, well preserved! The inaguration-day, 25th of december, gave name to the whole city, Natal = Christmas. You must go there but do not ecpect a high-tech museum of European standard, but a very nice place for contemplation and for the true feeling of the wings of history. Sadly almost no information in english.

Situated way out on an artificial spit, this fort offers a history lesson as well as a beautiful vista out on the ocean and back to the city. Reconstruction was happening during my visit but nearly every room was open to explore. It's not a big fort, but the fact that is is right above the surf zone makes it special, more so if you are there when the tide comes in.

So named because construction started on January 6, 1598 (the day of the Three Wise Men) this fort, with its gleaming white castellated walls complete with replica cannons stands watch where the Rio Potengi flows into the Atlantic Ocean. It is well worth a look, although it is a bit of a hike to get to, and contains within its walls everything you might expect to find in a fort that is over 400 years old - jail cells, crews quarters, a gunpowder room, gift shop and the three wise men perched beside the well. Pay a small fee to enter and enjoy your visit.

Really liked this fort. I've seen a few now in Brazil and this is in good condition and worth the walk. Great on a sunny day with the tide out.
