this is zona norte equivalent of parque flamengo, but i find it interesting as it is on the disfavoured end of the city. worth a visit for me.

I know the place from childhood memories. There were small vegetable plantations bordering the power towers and the train line. Today there is a vibrant park. The culture of Rio's suburbs lives there. There are attractions, bikes for rent, places to eat and, what's best, all the fun and joy of the people of Madureira and surrounding areas.

Where there were lettuces, now there is a lot of culture!!
