Large monument within Flamengo park dedicated to unknown soldiers, there are soldiers on guard during day hours. Few military installations are located around it like battery and canons. Good views from the top over nearby laguna and sugarloaf mountain.

If you are interested in a war information, this is a place to visit. Nice statues outside of the museum. Located in the park in which is nice to walk after the visit.

We walked over after visiting the Modern Art Museum (MAM), I highly recommend going while it's still sunny out. We tried to get a taxi to leave shortly after sunset and even the taxi driver warned us never to be around that area after dark...
