We enjoyed this beach toward the end of Ipanema. Less crowded with quite a social vibe. Ended up coming back here a few times despite staying in Ipanema.

A more relaxed and less hectic beach than Copacabana. Great shops and cafes. A lovely place to visit. Shops more upmarket.

Still lots of bars and drinks etc being sold on the beach, but fewer people than copacabana - worth a walk along the coast

Its less crowded than beaches around hotels.For me it was good thing.Much cleaner tho.Lots of recreation areas and bars !

Not as crowded as Ipanema beach, Leblon is beautiful! Just observing people exercizing with their bikes or just jogging is worth the visit. The sea can be rough, sometimes.

Nice to walk, run, play beach football or beach tennis. Nice kiosks and unformal restaurants by the beach. Enjoy sunset!

Nice beaches although very cold water. A neoprene suit could be recomendable if you want to stay longer

Leblon with its chilled and sophisticated climate is surely one of my favorite places in Rio. Much calmer than Copacabana, invites you to stay on the beach with your eyes closed and enjoy the fresh breeze.
