Very good for family time but also for alone time! I've been there alone, and had the time of my life!

It's a peaceful sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of rio. It's worth a stroll and you have some nice views of Cristo from the ground level.

We visited the Garden with my wife and baby son, for us was really boring and just spent one hour. I think that for people that enjoy botanic staff is good.

Palm trees very tall and old, water lilies of gigantic sizes, birds of all sorts, the splendour of a tropical forest in a botanic garden in town. The café in the back has many attractioons is gorgeous pies, salads, soups, breads. A must in Rio

It was a lot bigger than we expected, we didn't have time to see it all! Easy to find, it's a busy route lots of buses pass just ask at the place you're staying. Closed until 12pm on Mondays (we arrived at 9!!!!!)

This garden is a surprisingly large oasis within the city with many paths to wander. There are many local plants and trees as well as a quite large collection of cactus.
