The middle class loves the quiet , calm and beautiful view at Leme Beach. Leme is an extension of Copacabana, this beach is in a quiet cove that is less crowded than it’s neighbor. The locals love to fishing in this quiet beach. Small shops and vendor are less expensive then those in Ipanema Beach. At the other end of... More

This is a smaller but quieter beach that is the beginning of Copacabana beach. The same beach feeling that the most illustrious one, but with a more laid back air

This beach is a contiguous part of the long beach running from its rocky outcrop in the north, into Copacaban beach all the way to Ipanema. The rocky outcrop has a promenade which runs fro the shore to its headland and is popular with locals for fishing. The view provides a Panorama of the beachfront all he way to Ipanema.... More

Once you stroll or bike at Copacabana beach make to sure to continue till the end of the beach and visit the neighborhood called Leme, the sunset from that end is great

Leme beach is a special piece of Copacabana beach. I found it particularly better than that one because it's not crowded with tourists. Prices of beverages and snacks are also lower. If you are traveling with your kids you should definitely enjoy it.

On the northern side of Praia de Copacabana, and just beneath the southern side of Morro De Urca, you fin Praia de Leme. It's much more relaxed than it's neighbor Copacabana beach. It's a good place to relax, to enjoy some beers and beachlife.

The northern most part of Copacabana Beach is actually called Praia de Leme. During the Olympics, the Today Show had its broadcasting stage on Leme Beach where we joined the crowds for an up close and personal meet and greet with Hoda, Matt, Natalie and Al. ''Twas a fine place for photos as a set of Olympic Rings was installed... More

This beach is very much more relaxed than the main attractions of copacabana and ipanema beaches. It's not as crowded and within less than 45 minutes you can walk to those beaches if you want to say you've been there :)
