About
I created the samba fit class in 1997.
I have 20 years of experience with samba, I have already paraded in several samba schools of Rio de Janeiro as queen of drums, ground highlight and passista.
I have taught in several countries such as Austria, Finland, Sweden, France, Italy, Spain, England, Iceland and Germany.

Ipanema is considered Rio's crown jewel. It offers the best view of the sunset from Arpoador and is inspiration for the legendary song, “The Girl from Ipanema.” Ipanema is an upscale area, home to many high-end restaurants and luxury shops, many of which can be found on the charming Garcia d'Ávila Avenue. The neighbourhood is very rich culturally, housing many art galleries that show contemporary art. There is also a great variety of nightlife in the neighbourhood, which buzzes with many options for every taste.

We were a group of 5 people and the class was so much fun! Carla was very patient with us all as we could not dance (especially the men!). Carla had been the carnival queen in 2020 and taught us all the steps which we tried to master. Communication was through WhatsApp from time of booking with a video of how to get there in the shopping centre which was cute and very helpful. Lovely personal touch with having our country flag of Scotland and we all got dressed up in the samba attire for photo opportunity which gave a perfect end to a perfect activity while visiting Rio. Would definitely recommend this class.

We spent our last morning with Carla at her Samba class and we had an amazing time!!!
She is a kind, patient and encouraging instructor who broke down the steps into easy section for us to become familiar with, before helping us to put it together.
Amazing session. Wished I was in Brazil longer so I could go again!!!

A great experience with Samba Fit. Charly is very friendly and provides clear information about accessing the Samba class and offers assistance with any questions about your stay in Brazil.
Carla, the Samba teacher, is an incredible educator who enables anyone to grasp the basics of Samba in just 1 hour. We were a small group of 4.
Immediately after the class, we receive photos and videos of us dancing Samba.
I highly recommend it!

Carla, was such an amazing instructor. My family and I had so much fun learning Samba. Carla took the time to teach us and correct our salsa mistakes. Lol.., we also took pictures after in traditional Brazilian carnival outfits. This was my favorite experience in Rio. I’m looking forward to putting all our new steps into a Samba night out! Charly was also so helpful and professional. He sent us instructions right away after booking and he even sent us free pictures and videos so we could remember our experiences. 10/10 I would recommend this class! :)

We had an amazing and fun time! Carla was an amazing instructor and so patient with us! We did this class for a Father's day gift and Carla made it so memorable. We learned many different samba steps and it was a great workout. Dressing up in the carnival outfits was a fun end to the workout. Can't wait to try out our dance moves in Rio.

Highly recommend. It was worth the cost. You learn some samba and create memories for a lifetime. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

I really enjoyed this experience. Be ready to sweat! 😁. It was really nice learning a few samba dance steps. The instructor is very nice. It was a great experience for me.

Had a great class where I learnt the fundamentals of samba and had a great time. Good way of getting a bit of exercise and culture into my Rio trip. Clear instructions targeted to my level by the teacher, very enjoyable
