Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very nice place but quite crowded, at least on the weekend. A large rock formation, on top of which there are several viewpoints, to which paths surrounded by cacti lead.

Lots of people on the rocks, although I tried to take photos without them.

A lot of snack and drinks vendors are walking and selling, which is tiring in the long run when you want to look out to sea and there is always someone trying to sell you something.

Located between Ipanema beach and Copacabana Fort.

You can get on top of this rocky mount to view the shoreline of Rio or watch the sunset.

We arrived in the afternoon and noted it was popular with a younger crowd.

Good spot to see the sunset. Lots of people doing the same thing so felt safe. Also, you can watch the surfers in the water too.

This is such a beautiful location to watch sunsets and spot turtles in the ocean. However, it is spoiled by nasty humans. We went with our son 10 year old son and I had to explain more details about the birds and the bees since there were hundreds of used condoms strewn all over. So many that we had to tip toe around them. The worst part is there are trash cans placed regularly around but nasty people are never interested in keeping others safe. Just gross! We have renamed it Condom Rock.

The Arpoador Stone is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in Rio de Janeiro. The view of the city, especially at sunset and sunset, is simply breathtaking. The day I went, I felt super safe, because there was police on the spot. The environment was lively, with plenty of people enjoying it, but not being chaotic. The view from the top of the Arpoador Stone is something you will definitely not regret to see. It's one of those places that's marked in memory. Overall, the experience at the Arpoador Stone was amazing and I highly recommend the visit. It is an indispensable tour for those in Rio de Janeiro!

The sunset in Arpoador is so beautiful. Fantastic composition with Ipanema beach, Dois Irmãos hill in the background and Copacabana on the other side of the rock. It's worth it for a late afternoon.

The most popular sunset in Rio, which provides a view between the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema. A mandatory stop for anyone visiting the city.

Typical place where many young people go at dusk to drink. It is very crowded, well lit and controlled with plenty of police nearby.
Very nice to sit and have a drink on the stone and chat. Next door there are many stalls to buy the drink, but there they are constantly passing by to sell caipirinhas and other drinks.
