A igreja foi recém restaurada pelos trabalhos do Porto Maravilha, área aberta como polo turístico no centro do Rio de Janeiro que inclui o Boulevard Olímpico. Antes o estado de conservação estava péssimo e a defesa civil havia interditado. A capela é histórica, uma das mais antigas da cidade, datada de 1696, e tombada pelo Iphan. Abre de segunda a sexta e recomendo a visita! Está linda!

Esta igreja foi restaurada há pouco tempo e por fora parece muito bonita,pena que no horário em que visitei estava fechada.Pretendo voltar outro dia para conhecer seu interior.

Fica localizada na região recém revitalizada do Porto na Praça Mauá, próximo aos Museu do Amanhã e MAR. O interior é simples e encantador!
