It totally worth it stay there at least 2 days, walk through its streets and imagine how it was the Great Imperial Cit from about 150 years ago; if you like trekking and camping, there's awsome spots to do it.
The Centro Histórico is definitely worth the walk, everything is relatively close and there are so many beautiful houses worth seeing along the Rua da Imperatriz and Rua Koeler... We chose not to take the horse carriage option and walked around, it was great!
Many beautiful historical mansions can be seen along this avenue. There is a lovely view of the cathedral as you cross the bridge over the river. Easy walking and many historical plaques. Definitely worth a visit!
