The old part of Paratay is characterful with buildings reminiscent of a time gone by - very well preserved and sits right on the coast. Took the schooner trip around the bay , stopping off at places to snorkel and swim.

Put two days aside cause you will enjoy being out on a boat so much you will want to do it again. Great value for money and the experience.

The staff of Pousada Helicolonial is really great! Quintal das Letras Restaurant serves delicious food. Another tip is a visit to Maria Izabel cachaça producer, considered one of the best in Brazil.

Paraty bay is really great place to do a boat tour or for swimming in the several transparent wáter beaches. The view with the Atlantic bush surrounding the bay gives a really nature touch to your stay.
