A stunning boat ride and an awesome view at the top. The hike takes around an hour on a steep trail. Bring shoes! The little bay is around 7km long and it resembles a Nordic fjord given he mountains around. Great!

Such a beautiful place to visit in Rio, on top of having great views of the city there is a little walk where you can appreciate the local plants and animals. Finishing off with a cafe where you can admire the highest peak

The pão de acucar is reachable in two ways. Either by boat from Paraty itself (depending on the boat between 25 minutes and 2 hours) or from Paraty Mirim (45 minutes by bus from Paraty bus station). The hike is around 50-60 minutes and well...More

The trail for Pão de Açúcar peak (not those of Rio de Janeiro) is moderate and takes circa 45 min to reach the summit. Nice view of the bay.

We did this hike the morning after hiking along the coast for 3 days. It took about an hour to hike to the top. It is a trail that is fairly steep the whole way up and coming down would be a little tricky if...More

This place has one of the best views I've seen in Brazil. To go there, you should get a car or a bus to the village of Paraty-Mirim and from there hire a boat to the Mamangua Bay (Saco do Mamangua). Ask for the boat...More

Found this on trip advisor. Wanted to do it but didn't want to pay $75 to do it on a tour. It's perfectly possible alone. I found another guy from my hostel who wanted to go (the more, the cheaper). Took the bus from Paraty...More

The trail is quite exhausting as it goes straight up, there are no serpentines and it was really hot! Make sure to take enough water and maybe an energy bar or something to eat before going down. I think it took us almost an hour...More

It's so beautiful, the view is amazing. If you want to avoid line up go on SUNDAY or any religuis holiday ... We went on Sunday and the lines were less than normal. You still had to wait but at least it was manageable.
