We took a day trip from Rio to Angra dos Reis and then a private party schooner to the lagoon. Definitely worth the trip. For older travelers, you have to jump off the boat to enjoy the waters so bit of a disclaimer there is necessary

We took a private boat to go on a trip to Lagoa Azul and other beachs around it. Lagoa Azul was the worst bit of the trip, there were about 3 or 4 big 'scuna' boats full of people shouting and playing loud music. There isn't a great variety of fish to see when snorkelling, and they all swim around... More

Similar to other reviews I read the snorkeling is OK the water is not super clear and there are a lot of people. Boats take everyone to this place still we enjoyed it.

You have to check this out if you go there. It's best to take a tour of the island to explore several beaches and lagoons. Watch out for the rocks. They are slippery. But it'e beautiful and you get to swim with fish.

This place is amazing, fish swimming all around you and the water is crystal clear. Many boats but my boat chose a better place which helped a ton

We went there by boat, it was fine. It is a very beautiful place to know and visit. It is a place that you can go by foot.

We visited Ilha Grande and were offered many tours, in speaking to other people we decided to do the half island tour which included Lagoa Azul. It was a beautiful place & would highly recommend a tour that includes this.

Enjoyed this tranquil spot for a bit of a swim and snorkel. Not quite as nice as some of the pictures I saw but still very nice. Well worth a visit on one of the many tours such as Meia Volta.

Simple beautiful, I only don't give 5 stars because when we went there, we could see a lot of garbage beside the stones. I feel sorry for this people which throw trash in a amazing place like that. We were not so luck, it wasn't a really sunny day, but we could admire every shot..

This place could be nice, but without the trash floating on the water and hundreds of boats full of tourist. Do not go there if you are here during vacations. Choose a more quiet place, in the other side of the island
