This was a highly touted beach in Porto de Galihnas, Brazil. We had a nice day and were able to walk out from the shore about 30 meters and still be able to stand!!!a lot of schooling fish come around and small bags of food are sold by vendors on the beach to feed them. When you do, there are... More

Our hotel was on this beach. Like most Brazilian beaches I've been to, it had strong waves. (Which I LOVE) some people like calmer waters though. You do need to be careful. The beach is lined with small roped off areas protecting sea turtle eggs. One day at the hotel we were lucky enough to see them come out of... More

This beach is not so good to swim due to strong current . But is very beautiful . Avoid night walk on the shore once is very desert place.

Not only because of the nice resorts offering all you need but also because of the atmosphere the beach brings. Good waves, sandy beaches without any of the dirt you find at beaches like Boa Viagem. Walk for an hour along the beach to the center of Porto de Galinha - nice stretch offering different views all along.

Yes the sea is a bit rough but that means less people and kids (no ofence...). Ideal to relax, sunbathe and read your book. When and if you feel like a bit of the buzz, Porto the Galinhas is certainly the place...

We went to the beach during buggy ride from end to end . The time we were there was low tide so we could enjoy the beauties of the natural pools of spit . In my opinion, this place had the most beautiful view of all the beaches . Blue sea, the restaurant, which was the fulcrum of the buggy... More

When planning our vacations our travel agent told us it was not recommended for kids, because it was open sea, but we met a nice couple that advised us to go during the low tide. It was wonderful - natural swimming pools that you can reach easily (boat not needed). If you are carrying sandals or sneakers you can walk... More
