The Triple Frontier is a tri-border area along the junction of Paraguay, Argentina, and Brazil, where the Iguazú and Paraná rivers converge. Near the confluence are the cities of Ciudad del Este (Paraguay); Puerto Iguazú (Argentina) and Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil). This area is near Iguazú Falls and the Itaipú hydroelectric plant.

It is expensive and you have only a reduced view to the river Iguazu, because many trees obscure the view. By the way you can buy the typical tourists goods and you have a clean toilette.

We visited the three frontiers for sunset which was a lovely setting. Very unique to be on the border of three countries! We felt the entrance fee was a little steep for the attraction and wished it was open during the day. It only opens at 16:00. If you're planning to get the local bus from the central terminal allow... More

The Marco Tres Fronteiras is a really nice unmissable place. It's been renovated and it's beautiful. There is a little talk about the discovery of the Iguaçu Falls and a short movie about it. As well, after enjoying a beautiful sunset, you can enjoy traditional dances with traditional costumes all that drinking a delicious Caipirinha at the restaurant. I found... More

What a rip off!! You pay for seeing a public structure work! Nothing else there! The fence around the corner with the obelisco now is finished, so you can't even catch a view to the three borders. Tourist trap!

After a period isolated for reconstruction, the point of 3 borders (Brazil side) reopened with a beautiful replica of a jesuistic mission ('reduction') of Guarani indigenous. There is a parking lot, souvenir shop and a restaurant ('Cabeza de vaca' - given name for the Spanish discoverer). This is a belvedere to watch the mark in the Argentina side and Paraguay... More
