Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hard pass. If I'd known how crappy this place was, I wouldn't have wasted my time. You have to pay a pretty pricey entry fee and you get in there and there's nothing to do. It's not very spacious so once people start coming in (between 6 and 7 pm), it gets super crowded. Everyone lines up to take pictures with the sign that names all three countries, and that line gets ridiculously long. People walk around not following any social distancing, and they all take their masks off.
There's only one restaurant there, and the good tables (outside with a nice view) get taken way early on, and then the people who sit at those tables never leave. They stay there until after the shows are over. If you show up early enough, secure yourself a table at that restaurant because that is your safest place to be if you want to watch the shows without being crowded. The food at the restaurant is normal.
The graffiti "maze" is short and has no information. The "free shows" are short and spaced out 30 minutes apart from each other. So realistically you get like a 5 minute show and then wait 30 minutes for the next 5 minute show. I didn't think the shows were worth it anyways. One of the shows was a baroque dance, and it literally has nothing to do with celebrating the three cultures coming together. Also the whole place is decorated to the theme of the movie, The Mission, which is a movie about white saviorism. I would waste my time and money elsewhere.

A good place to visit with beautiful view on Iguazu and Parana lakes. Gives you the opportunity to see Paraguayen and Argentinean sides. An amazing show with very good dancers was performed at night.

Not sure what the point of the place is. There is a shop and outlets that sell fast food. It is all outside in the heat and humidity and mosquitoes. There is some form of show, half of which is talking - in Brazilian. There are some dancers who dance 3 or 4 local dances. A great place to get hot, sweaty, indigestion and bored. I thoroughly recommend it to people who are attracted by that, otherwise you are better spending your 175 Pesos per person on something else, in fact, anything else.

It is a triple-frontier landmark with an obelisk to celebrate how Iguacu Falls are shared between three nations: Brazil, Argentina, & Paraguay with monuments overlooking the spot. Visitors can see the other 2 countries from here. Each spot offers a beautiful view of the rivers, especiallyat sunset, and is surrounded by shops selling snacks and souvenirs. There is a small exhibition on Brazil’s historic Jesuit villages by the ticket office. At sunset, guests are entertained by amazing Brazilian traditional dances. Unfortunately,it started to rain half way through the dance, so we had to leave.

We were expecting more adventure or interesting of this place. Just bunch of tourist trap souvenir stores and fast food place with a gate. I DONOT recommend this place. It should be free like the Argantine side. We just took some pictures. 10$ per person is really not worth it AT ALL.

Just to note, you pay a hefty entrance fee for a few fake colonial buildings with tourist shops and restaurants. Not a large area to walk. Signs are nice and well worth making the pictures. Can be done in 10 minutes, so felt like a rip off for a picture as we don't have kids with us or wanted food. A location like this should be free of charge

We enjoyed our visit. We got a tour taxi to drop us. We paid for entrance. It takes you into a theatrical setting. Old ruins, fountains, monuments, and vendors selling tasty snacks. There are a couple of restaurants onsite serving local food. They start a show around 6:30 pm. It's a beautiful celebration of all three countries' dance traditions with a finale at the end. We loved the tango performance the best. It's about a 2 hr show. They have a gift shop onsite.

£15 entry to look around a tiny area, not even a path to walk along the river. Most interesting part is watching the ferry carrying cars across the river. Stayed for 5 mins, just wish I knew how little is involved before I threw away my money

A necessary place to visit due to its importance, but a bit pricey. There a food stands and local shops, and the view of the triple border is nice. Not much else. 20 minutes tops

We went as a couple to visit Marco das Três Fronteiras in early July 2019. We arrived at 1:40 PM after we took public bus number 103 from downtown Foz do Iguaçú (roughly a 30 minute ride) and had to wait for around 20 minutes before they opened the doors to this place at 2:00 PM. There were around 20 other persons lined up before us that got in quickly. The entrance fee is 24 reais per person, roughly US $6 which we thought was fair.
You pay for your ticket at a booth in an area that has multiple references to the 80's movie called The Mission, which takes place in this region. Once you have your ticket and pass the turnstile you can go to the souvenir store in case you want to get something. We got key chain and a fridge magnet and the prices were reasonable, like US $3 each.
After that, you go outside and find a colonial fountain and an arch where you can take nice pictures. Note: the place is recently built but tries to mimic colonial buildings. Imagine an the World Showcase of Epcot Center with a pavilion dedicated to Brazil where each detail is taken care for. The place is clean, has benches, outside tables, and is actually very nice looking. I guess it's better for days with clear skies as it has more things outdoors than indoors. It's beautiful and cozy
There is also a small obelisk which acts as the Brazilian marker of the border. There is one in the Argentinian side and another one visible in Paraguayan soil. Out of the 3 borders the Brazilian one looks like the better side: the one in Argentina, called Hito de las Tres Fronteras, is a free park (good for your budget, but without a lot of things to offer) where you can buy souvenirs at good prices but besides that and the unique view from that spot there is not a lot to do. In Paraguay, it seems that there is nothing there, except a fluvial port with customs.
Anyway, going back to Marco das Três Fronteiras, you can take pictures almost everywhere there; there is a small maze there with mirrors and cool paintings evoking the idiosyncrasy of the 3 countries represented there. Kids will definitely have fun here but grown ups will have a good time as well. There is also a traffic sign there with directions for Argentina and Paraguay, this is a must. And the view is perfect for pictures.
There is also a projection that runs every 30 minutes that tells the history of the region when Spanish and Portuguese conquistadores came along and how natives reacted to their presence. There is a restaurant in the premises but I guess that is open only in the evening or in their summer, not in the afternoon as it was closed where we were there.
However you can buy churros, mini (I really mean mini) pizzas, hot dogs and other packaged goods in case you are hungry. We couldn't stay for after sunset because we had a flight leaving town that night, however I am certain that this place is really festive after dark, an assumption that was confirmed by a local.
I don't speak Portuguese, only Spanish and English, but the clerks working at Marco das Três Fronteiras had only the best attitude and made me feel welcome despite my attempts to speak (and hopelessly butcher) their language. They appreciate you make an effort to speak Portuguese, even as it is a few words. This applies to all Brazilians we interacted with. Impressive people indeed!
I fully recommend you visit this place, after the Itaipú Dam and the Iguaçú Falls, as this will be a highlight in your trip. We have very fond memories of this place and I believe you will too.
