It's OK to go there swimming from the beach, but don't expect great snorkeling and be VERY careful with all the boat traffic at low tide. I've found the boats noisy and a nuisance, but they must be OK if one can't go swimming and wants to visit.

However, take the chance and try it no matter what. Take some clothes with you in order not to get cold on the boat.

Worth visiting the pools that are formed during low tide. It takes only 15 min to get to the pools from the beach. Was expecting to see more fish.

As my friends and I got closer to the corals we were amazed at the view. A mix with the light blue see and the red-orange coral reef. Adding to that the sun that João Pessoa has in a unique way. When visiting João Pessoa this is a must see place. You wont regret it.

Awesome!!! It is a 3 hours ride! The boats leave the tambau beach and they only take 30 min to get to the natural pools of Picaozinho. The only thing you need to plan, even before going to Joao Pessoa, it's the tie table! If the tie is too high, you can not enjoy the pools... For the people that... More

We could not move with the quantity of people around, no privacy at all! You have to take a boat during 15 minutes to arrive there.

If you enjoy snorkeling you will love Picãozinho. When the tide is low the boats take you to an area with some coral reefs that form natural pools. The water is nice and warm and there is plenty of fish to observe. You can rent snorkeling equipment at the boat itself. You can book a Picãozinho tour in Tambau beach... More

The boat ride and time over there worths the 30-35 reais ticket. For someone is used with snorkelling dive it may bring nothing surprising but since it's very close to the cityband there is easy access even for children or eldery, it may be very fun for who never snorkelled.

It's a natural pool around 0.5 mile into the sea. Nothing special, but it is nice to swim in a sunny day.
