Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Seixas Point, is the easternmost point in South America and therefore of both the American continents. Located in the Brazilian state of Paraiba near the capital city of Joao Pessoa,
The name of the point derives from a traditional family from Paraíba whose patriarch owned a rural property near to the site. This ancestor of Portuguese origin, surnamed Rodrigues Seixas, settled in Paraíba in the 17th century.
What I found amazing was that this geographic fact was not definitively established until September 5th, 1941. A lighthouse was constructed on a bluff very near here that most folks confuse as the actual point. Built in 1971, it offers the best view of the white sandy beach that is the Ponta.
Also located nearby is the Estação Cabo Branco (popularly known as the Estação Ciência or “Science Station”). The building was designed by the famed architect Oscar Niemeyer (the guy who designed the entire city of Brasilia, the Brazilian capital).
If you're a tourist in the area, this is definitely a place you should visit.

The extreme eastern point of the continent has an amazing view point where one can experience an awesome landscape.
Yes, it is windy and sometimes desert, but I didin´t have an unsafe sensation there.
If you can get up early, it is even better to be experienced by the sunrise.

Please do not go to the beach.
Have a look at the lighthouse, the view from there, and return back.
It's very dangerous. I was robbed by 2 guys with a knife within couple meters of the lighthouse on the trail to the beach, during the middle of the day, around lunch time . This with my 4 year old daughter along my side.
There was possibly a third guy who also started running as soon as people came to my rescue.
The locals who helped me out, told me the trail is very dangerous.
Nothing is worth it, stay away from there, there are enough safe and very beautiful beaches to visit that this one is absolutely to avoid!!!

There are a few reasons why you should try to visit here
Firstly its the most Easterly point of the Americas, secondly the view from here is fantastic and thirdly the sunset.
There is a science museum ( the building with like a hexagon shape) near the entrance. parking is free and often there is some interesting stuff in there. Weekend sometimes have some cultural group outside with music or something entertaining. Inside they change a lot, i believe something new every two weeks. Sometimes science, robotics or like on my last visit art.
Definitely worth a visit on your way to the view. Plus you get perfect view of the city and beaches from the top floor
Food and toilet facilities at the art / science museum. Food and drink at the Ponte

The beach is not the best beach in Joao Pessoa, but as it is the most easterly point of the Americas is an unmissible place, at least to take some photos

The view of the Ponta Seixas is beautiful, however I missed a better infrastructure for the tourists such as a belvedere.

It's been a while but I remember it was a very nice experience all in all. The only issue is that going by yourself may not be safe. We got lost more than once trying to reach the point. The bus drivers seem that they don't know the place (you should be very sure what name to use to reference) and we ended up walking in not-so-safe areas. A couple of locals helped us out but warned us about it. Luckly nothing happened, we reached the place and had a good time, but, be careful!

O mais adequado para quem é "iniciante", primeira viagem é pegar um táxi. O valor não será alto.
