Green park in the middle of city

Very similar to geodedi. Less visitors and animals but still a nice way how to escape the heat. Part of the park was being renewed but I think its dobe now.

Reviews said this was like a piece of the Amazon rainforest with animals to visit. It was instead like a very run down old zoo park. Some animals in the cages actually looked sick. All signs were old and impossible to read. Full of happy and playing children in a Sunday afternoon though. Clearly a family destination. Less kept up... More

This is a (not at all that) small piece of the amazon rainforest in the middle of the chaotic city of Belém! It is a nice place to relax, breathe and be astonished by the wonders of mother nature. The park offers huge trees, plants and all kind of animals. my favorite were the free wandering monkeys that you can... More

This mini forest is a must see, this is the closest you will ever come to the Amazon jungle in Belem. It has a variety of trees just like in the jungle, but unfortunately you can hear the street traffic from inside the Bosque.

In the middle of the city center you almost get a feeling of beeing at a jungle tour. The park has good space, and a lot of small tracks. The best time to come here is early morning before it gets crowded and too hot. Entrance fee is low - 2 BRL

A forest in the middle of the city. Very nice place with a variety of plants and tall trees. Occasionally you may see a cute capybara walking around. I managed a mediocre shot of it since it was moving fast and I can't switch lenses fast enough lol! They have nice little lagoons and streams. I guess one thing I... More

If you are to visit Belem then it is a must that you come here! Entry is only R$2 per person and the park itself is beautiful - I got my frist look at a sloth here!

This place would have been nice in its heyday but it is rather shabby and dull now. Caged monkeys and caged birds and murky water with sad looking fish. We felt sorry for the animals and left pretty sharpish.
