The Vitoria a Minas Railroad Passenger Train is the only train that carries out daily long-distance trips in Brazil. In approximately 13 hours, it travels over 664 km, between Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, and Cariacica, Espírito Santo. Along the way, the passengers can safely contemplate beautiful scenery, get to know historical facts and enjoy a comfortable ride. In 2014, the entire Vitória a Minas Passenger fleet was upgraded, offering more modern and comfortable cars to people who use rail transportation on a daily basis. Over one Million people take the Passenger Train every year. During the trip, the train passes through historic cities and beautiful landscapes, encouraging tourism in the region and contributing to the development of various communities.

This is obviously not the fastest way from Vitoria to Belo Horizonte. The train moves at 70-80 kilometers per hour at top speed. The track is good and the ride smooth. Many stops however they are very brief, 1 - 3 minutes. So you can...More

It is a great way to get to the stadium and back from down town (a little walk once you get to the stadium) It would be great if it went to the airport, such a long way from down town.

Luckily I got someone in Brazil to book it for me. I'm afraid I found no way to book from outside Brazil.
