The city is dirty, when we got close to the square, a guy came charging R$50 to look at the car, of course we didn't pay. You walk to get to the end and have a view of the church, Coqueiro beach, native beach and the local cemetery that is next to the church. I didn't see the point in taking a photo there.

Trancoso is a paradise in the middle of this country. Many talk about expensive and inaccessible prices, but I believe it's all a question of how willing you are to invest in experience.
Not every beach charges minimum consumption, Rio Verde for example, consumption is free and there is no minimum fee. Apart from the speedboat trips that leave very close by at a cost of R$ 150.00 per person for approximately 1:30 hour.
The square of Trancoso is a gastronomic oasis with a charm that I have never seen in any other corner of this country. Options for two cost around/from R$280.00.
There is little approach in Quadrado, generally it's just popsicle sellers who offer to take a photo and in return ask for a few bucks.
Oh! Parking in the Quadrado can become a mission, as in 98% of cases you will need to pay a ''flanelinha'' (car security guard), even if it is on a public street. A man was very rude to me, he came shouting, banging on my window, shouting ''parking'' and I just wanted some information, as he was unsuccessful, he said a rather strange name and turned around. But just ahead I met a super friendly guy who offered me directions and I left my car on his route.

Disappointment to return to Trancoso after many years. The square, once a Villa of fishermen turned into a large food square. They kept within the local architecture as possible. The restaurants pretend to be sophisticated, all have a menu similar to bayan food and absurd and standardized prices, signaling cartelization. The food is reasonable and the care is painful. Most have that nasty live music and still charge artistic couvert. They can be more expensive than the expensive restaurants in Rio de Janeiro. Bad experience. Quiet never again.

It's not worth what it offers!!! What they call "charming", is concentrated in the "Quadrado", which in the afternoon and at night, is really quite cute and interesting, however, any dinner with ONE beer (you can't order a second one), doesn't cost less than 200.00 per person.
Leaving the "Quadrado", (the city is divided between square - charming rustic for the rich and center - dirty, potholed for the poor), exploration is a little less in the center which is horrible, full of rubbish, water running everywhere, but it is possible to find some affordable places to sit and eat... I won't go back, I wouldn't recommend them!

Super quiet place with several restaurants, cafes and shops. In the evening there is a crafts fair.
Some restaurants have the option of live music.
We had a coffee in the late afternoon, and the landscape was perfect.
We really liked the atmosphere of the place.

Think of a place charm. This place is locked up. The cottage with well ⁇ ined restaurants and night with the lights on is spectacular. I find the prices of some restaurants disproportionate but we managed to dribble the big prices with pizzas, snacks and restaurants within the square. It's just garimpar you think. The biggest charm, of course, lies with the church and the viewpoint at the end of the square. Beautiful.

It is a place to visit exclusively at night, as restaurants and shops only open from 5pm. The square is not a large place and has everything from stores offering local products to well-known luxury brands. The restaurants are not cheap, but you pay for the experience.
The view from the viewpoint is beautiful and the church is also very charming.

The place is really beautiful, but everything is very expensive. Just for a visit and to take lots of photos. Having lunch on the beaches of Trancoso is a big hole in the pocket. We ordered fried fish, accompanied by rice, salad and soft drink for two people, it cost more than 100 reais for each person. And it wasn't served well.

It is a large square, with restaurants and the Church of São João Batista. Behind the Church there is a small square and a beautiful view of Coqueiros beach (if I'm not mistaken). The restaurants are expensive, but in the south of BA the meals are really expensive. There are more affordable restaurants and a convenience store nearby that can help with intermediate meals (lunch or snack), but it's worth having dinner at the restaurants there.

Considered one of the most popular spots in the region, Quadrado de Trancoso is a very special place, the old houses of the first residents were transformed into craft, decoration, gift and souvenir shops, commercial points and restaurants and transformed the square meter of the place into a one of the most expensive in Bahia.
The Igrejinha do Quadrado is simple, but very beautiful and the viewpoint allows for a wonderful view and makes for beautiful photos.
The incomprehensible thing for a point that depends on tourism is that the place does not have public bathrooms and to use them in establishments, you have to pay, parking is precarious and complicated and the harassment from street vendors can be annoying.

Quem for dessa geração vai curtir muito.

Boa sorte!
