Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The area of Ondina Beach is full of hotels, many of the big chain ones. It's quite easy to get here either by bus, uber or taxi but the beaches are really not that nice, with many rocks and huge waves. Good for pictures though.

The beaches of the city are not very good, but this one is a little bit better the some others. It is located near several hotels.

If you're looking for endless fun, lots of music and one of the greatest parties in the world, make sure you visit Ondina during carnival. They have a very nice infrastructure to receive the thousands of tourists from all over the world who go there and it's an experience like no other! People of all ages enjoy the beauty and happiness of Brazilian carnival, but if you want to see the true meaning of Carnival, this is where you want to be!

Ondina sits between Rio Vermelho and Barra Beaches and is frequented mainly by locals.

You can get a real nice coconut water and a seat for R$10 and have a relaxing time. There is also a nice little selection of shops nearby under Ondina Hotel.

Just be careful walking to far off the beaten pathway to he left of the beach toward the rocks as robbers are known to frequent that area. You can however see the Grutas do San Lazarao if you go far enough.

Nice place!

it´s beautiful, clear water, but it´s not a nice place to seat, beach is not at the same level of street, and there are rocks inside the water.

The beach is quite large of extension, I visited the beach after the monuments As Meninas do Brasil (gordinhas), in the low tide the place is very good forming pools.
However, be very careful with the stones. Extremely clear water, giving to see little fish and the foot itself.
Quiet going towards Red River, the beach has few people, can put your canga and enjoy freely without worrying if you will be robbed.
It has an excellent cycling path and promenade for practicing sports.

Excellent for those looking for a calm sea, like me. It is located between Morro do Cristo and, close to it, is the Spanish Club. Frequented by families. Crystal clear water!
