We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The objects, the tableware, the furnitures, everything indicates how the sugar cane aristocracy lived at that time. Wonderful heap.
I disliked the opening hour: 2:30 PM.

They have a exhibition on the masters from all over the world who did engraving. It is a really cool exhibition, though nothing is in English.

Although I found it interesting, I found the collection of the museum small. On the first floor, I was having an (temporary) exhibition about Ariano Suassuna; very interesting. On the first floor, an exhibition with digital paintings of Salvador's shore in the bay of Todos Santos. Entrance was free. Super friendly staff.

Much about the rich rulers and not much on native culture which was disappointing. Maybe they want to promote former wealth but it surely was not about natives people's.

If you like art in general, you’ll enjoy this museum of Bahian art and a few non-Bahian. Different from the the Modern Art Museum that is specially for modern and experimental art, this museum features collections that could even be redistributed among other museums in the city. Nevertheless, the building, furniture and the door itself are great art pieces to be admired. There’s a little bookstore with a few art books and souvenirs!

A taxi driver drop me off here although I had asked for the modern art museum! I was expecting a museum by local artists both old and modern but what it was is an odd mix of furniture and glassware and paintings from mostly the late 19th and early 20th century

Unfortunately it is small, with few options in the collection. It could also be better lit and cleaner looking.
