It is the center point of the square across the street from the Teatrico. The zig zag sidewalk in black and beige is symbolic of the Amazon & Rio Negro rivers.

Worth the trip just to experience the mosaic paving stones that trick your eyes. Surrounded by beautiful old (non native) trees

This monument is in the centre of the main square of Manaus. It is nice place to walk and relax and have coffee or a beer in one of the cages or restaurants which on two sides of it . Worth a visit

The square is lined with cafes and restaurants, and there's never a shortage of people watching to be done. Find a table, order a drink, and watch the world go by.

The monument is not extraordinary but the place is nice for a walk and it is in front of the theatre. There is an ice cream shop in the corner with typical fruits of the region.

The Monument shows, among other things, the names of the four continents Africa, Asia, Europa, America(=NOT the United States) as one(North+South America); Australia was considered a colony of England then, and did not rate as a continent.
