Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I discovered this place on the first day of the trip and the only defect is not having it every day!
amazing local food experience, a lunch is R$15.
The best food is in front of the riachuelo store!!

If you have a free sunday morning, don't miss this. This is a weekly fair were locals sell food and products. You can find here chocolates with fruit fillings and fruit candies, gifts, cookies, products with natural ingredients, stands making food and selling fruit, decoration pieces made by artisans and more. The price is alright and some of what you can find here won't be available in Mercado Adolpho Lisboa so buy what you need because you might have a hard time finding it again.

It happens every Sunday and it has Manaus traditional food and bites. Price is affordable and you will eat together with locals which is great to live the experience. On top of that there's lots of handcrafted items like rings and jewelery. Lastly you can try some sweets done with local fruits. If you're coming by car, park it few blocks from the main street otherwise guys will ask you for money so they can watch it for you which is lame.

Open air market is nice but small. Larger mall-like area is mediocre with many shops vacant. Go to Adolpho market. More vendors with better quality for souvenirs and such.

Very nice place to eat a regional breakfast. I had a "Cupuaçu" Juice with bread with "tucumã" and "tapioca" with "coalho" cheese. Very good! Besides that you can purchase local artisans pieces and food (chocolate and so forth).

Opened on sunday morning.
Its a good place to eat a regional breakfast with locals. No big deal for handcrafts.
I tried a x-caboclinho: bread with cheese, banana and tucuman (local and popular fruit). Then a tried the something similar but in the tapioca (flour from mandioca which is used to make pancakes ). I'll recomend both!

Handicrafts in Manaus are expensive. It's a little more affordable there than the stores around the Theater. When I arrived it was towards the end. Indigenous items tend to be expensive. It is not an unmissable program.

Written 27 November 2015
Eu visitei a feira duas semanas atrás. A maioria das barracas ficava na rua Joaquim Sarmento, no entorno da Galeria Espírito Santo, pertinho da Avenida Eduardo Ribeiro.
