The stalls in the old building are selling souvenirs and other touristy stuff. It's the market next door, with the fish and fruit stalls, that is much more interesting. And the nearby port is fascinating, with boats carrying everything to everywhere in the Amazon basin.

I ate breakfast here (try the tapioca with tucumã and banana/cheese) and then popped into the little shops. Little touristy things and some interesting food items. Most of the stalls sell the same items but it's fun to look around.

This is a locally famous market constructed out of steel imported from the UK in the last century. it sells a range of general goods and not just fish and fruit/veg. Well worth a visit

Beautiful old building with a large assortment of shops with all the traditional fish,meat,fruit,and vegetables. Lots of Amazonia products. A fun visit.

Great Fun walking the aisles lots of artisans for tourists. A few cafes for food, lots of meat and fish for sale and local medicines too!
